    Debt Set-off,    estimated to create a net gain for ground ambulances of $9-12 million/yr., pssd House X 2 in 2011, lost it in the Senate

    HB 1210, Gatschenberger, hearing House Local Gov Comm 1-25, voted 13-3 Do-Pass in Comm, we expect it to be in several omnibus bills passed out of Local Gov Comm very soon

    Regional EMS Council’s,    adding regional medical directors to the committee membership

    Cell Phone 9-1-1,   

    HB 1768, Hinson, Comprehensive 9-1-1 Legislation.  Has some serious problems. 1/10 cent sales tax and overly demanding consolidation plan.  The hope is that we will use this bill to help educate legislators as the bill is DOA. Assigned to House Utilities Comm

    HB 1780, Hinson, 9-1-1 Board Bill.  The effort is to create a state-wide 9-1-1 board which can help advise the legislature on the complicated issues such as consolidation and parity.  There is a serious effort to clean-up this bill and move it forward.  This bill has a serious problem with mandating county 9-1-1 Boards in every county.
